  12. I posted here asking why my recieve/send speeds as indicated in ATI6 report was
  13. so different and what I could do tho help the problem. I only got one response
  14. that said these speeds are determined by "line conditions". This is very
  15. interesting. Do we not use the same LINE to transmit and recieve data. Is there
  16. not only one connection between my modem and the one on the other end.

  18. In any case I cannot understand why the recieve speed will vary between 24 and
  19. 28.8K but the send indication seemingly NEVER varies from 19.2. This amounts to
  20. a 33.3% difference in speed for two operations occuring over the same
  21. connection!!

  23. If anyone can give me a better explanation than just the overused "line
  24. conditions" ( what conditions, why, why the receive/send  difference, can it be
  25. fixed) I would greatly appreciate it!!!
